Chet likes drawing portraits in charcoal and pastels long before committing them to oils. It takes this exercise to arrive at the right balances in line and shadow to catch realistic likenesses.

Some of Chet’s earliest drawings and paintings were portraits.  Although the majority of that work has been lost over the years, he is now building on this area and will be developing a few more self portraits in the process.
