Still life painting offers the artist the ability to use his own composition in both shapes, colors and lighting. An assembly of fruits, vegetables, bottles, but not cats – they don’t appreciate the “still” in still life. Chet has recently restarted this classic approach to art.

 Over the last year, Chet has realized the potential of the traditional still life painting and is in the process of planning out a number of these to paint in the next few years.   Again, the attraction here is the ability to add dramatic lighting that transforms a simple subject to one of great beauty and intensity.
